In the current context of the fight against COVID-19, LynxiT has developed a solution for managing bed occupancy in public hospitals and requesting beds from private hospitals as part of the project to Centralized Resource Management to Respond to Epidemic Outbreaks which LynxiT is currently developing to help manage the resources available to the various stakeholders in the National Health Service (SNS) more effectively, given the current situation of severe strain on the SNS resulting from the high number of patients hospitalized and in the ICU due to COVID-19 infection.

This application, fully supported on the Low-Code LynxiT Cube Software, will enable public hospitals to manage available beds more effectively and to request beds from private hospitals with which Regional Health Administrations may establish protocols so that private hospitals can admit both COVID and non--COVID patients to help relieve the burden on inpatient and ICU units in public hospitals that are overloaded and lack the capacity to respond to the dramatic increase in the number of patients in those units.

With this modest contribution, LynxiT aims to help the National Health Service better manage its available resources, which are becoming increasingly scarce, with the goal of saving as many lives as possible in this painful battle our country is waging against COVID-19!
